Making a difference across campus
Kudos: Debbie Parker (Human Resources), Gail Power (Faculty of Agriculture) and Cathie Smith Gillis (Faculty of Health Professions) are this year's recipients of the Dalhousie DPMG Award, celebrating outstanding contributions from professional and managerial staff across the university. Darrell Rhodenizer (Office of Advancement) received the DPMG's new Early Career Award.

A group of Halifax junior high students and their two Dal mentors earned one of 20 spots in the Global Innovation Awards, an international robotics competition, for developing an animal-deterrent system for the wild horses of Sable Island, N.S. The students, part of the Dal-hosted Imhotep's Legacy Academy, are currently crowdfunding to pay for the trip.
Debbie Martin of Dal’s Faculty of Health Professions receives Training Grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to expand research capacity, skills and career trajectories of Indigenous early career researchers and trainees.
