The Science, Information Technology, Engineering Co-operative Education office is hosting a Science Co-op information session on Wednesday, October 19 at 12:00 p.m. for first- and second-year Science students interested in work-integrated learning opportunities at Dalhousie. This session will be held virtually and students can register via myCareer.

Atlantic Student Research Journal recruitment

The student-led Atlantic Student Research Journal focuses on connecting students to impactful STEM research and innovation across Atlantic Canada and is looking for undergraduate students to join their team. Dr. Gerhard Herzberg exhibition on display at Dal
This month, Dalhousie is hosting an exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Gerhard Herzberg being awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Titled Enterprises of the Human Spirit: 50 Years of Scientific Excellence in Germany and Canada, the exhibition will be on display in the Sir Charles Tupper Medical Building from October 11 to 14 and the Richard Murray Design Building from October 17 to 21. Mitacs funding opportunities
Mitacs - Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Summer Program - Full-time master’s and PhD students are invited to apply for research internships in Japan in summer 2023 through Mitacs and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). The call for applications closes on November 30, 2022. Visit the Mitacs website for complete details and instructions on how to apply.

Globalink Research Award Thematic Cell - Senior undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to apply for a $6,000 research award to conduct a 12- to 24-week research project with an institution affiliated with one of Mitacs’s international partners. Research must fall under one of these four themes: Advanced computing, clean technologies, global health or social and scientific innovation. The call for applications closes on November 25, 2022. The Inquiring Mind Post-Secondary workshop for students
Offered by Student Health & Wellness, The Inquiring Mind Post-Secondary is a 4.5 hour course delivered over two days that provides students with practical knowledge of mental health and mental illness. Participants are eligible to receive a completion certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Upcoming workshops are scheduled for October 11 & 13 and November 7 & 8, with a special graduate student-only workshop on November 9 & 10.
