Sciographies returns this fall
A new season of the podcast and radio show, Sciographies returns this fall with seven new episodes. The show is hosted by Dr. David Barclay, from the Department of Oceanography and features the life and career of scientists from Dalhousie University. Episodes air Thursdays at 6PM on CKDU 88.1 FM in Halifax or tune in most podcast apps. Check out the latest episodes here.

Join Daniela Fernandez as she shares her journey in creating a global youth movement for ocean conservation, sustainability and entrepreneurship and how her work at the Sustainable Ocean Alliance aims to help address some of the biggest threats facing our ocean
ON THE SPEAKER
: Daniela Fernandez is an award-winning social entrepreneur, thought leader, and public speaker on youth empowerment, ocean innovation, technology, and sustainability. At the age of 19, Daniela founded Sustainable Ocean Alliance as a college-room idea at Georgetown University. Five years later, SOA has created the world's largest network of young Ocean Leaders in over 165 countries and launched the world's first Ocean Solutions Accelerator to support new solutions to address key threats facing our planet.
ON THE SERIES:
The annual Ransom A. Myers Lecture on Science and Society has been organized by his family, colleagues and former students since 2007 and is supported by the President’s Office at Dalhousie University. Ransom Myers was one of the foremost fisheries scientists in the world when he died in 2007 at the age of 54. He published close to 200 peer-reviewed papers, and his legacy of adherence to science-based approaches to environmental problems, particularly those focused on our oceans is carried on by his students and peers around the world.
