E.W.R Steacie Memorial Fellowship
Congratulations to Dr. Erin Johnson, Department of Chemistry, recent winner of the E.W.R Steacie Memorial Fellowship, the prestigious NSERC award for outstanding and highly promising young researchers. Erin is internationally renowned for her contributions to computational and predictive chemistry, and she currently holds the Herzberg-Becke Chair in Theoretical Chemistry. 2019 Global Affairs Canada Faculty Mobility Award
Congratulations to Daniel Rainham and Tarah Wright for winning the Global Affairs Canada Faculty Mobility Award. They will use these funds to develop stronger ties and collaborative experiential learning opportunities for students in Environmental Science at Dalhousie University and the University of the Bahamas.

Frontiers & Futures for Fish
Today through Friday the Dalhousie Marine Affairs Program and Saint Mary’s University are co-hosting the 2019 North American Association of Fisheries Economist (NAAFE) Forum “Frontiers & Futures for Fish”. Over 150 participants from academia, government, and industry will be gathering and presenting at this event, which seeks to promote dialogue between economists and stakeholders interested in fisheries and aquaculture, and to discuss practical applications in this field.
