Find out more before you choose your major. Drop by the McCain Learning Commons and ask about the difference between Marine Biology and Ocean Sciences, what you’ll actually get to study if you major in Neuroscience or Chemistry or Microbiology, how to go about choosing a double major and more. 2019 Soapbox Science
Applications for the 2019 Soapbox Science Halifax event are now open. If you would like to share your research with the Halifax community during this unique event, please visit this website to learn more. Applications are due March 1.

SURGE Deep Dive Event - iGEM Hackathon
Join Dalhousie’s Science Innovation Sandbox, SURGE, and Dalhousie’s iGEM Team for a synthetic biology hackathon March 1-3. Dalhousie iGEM is looking for a diverse range of undergraduate students to join their team and help build on their previous years of success at the international Giant Jamboree in Boston in the fall. This Deep Dive Event is FREE with food provided all weekend. Participants will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and the top three teams will have the chance to win monetary awards!
