About the RFRC
The Rural Futures Research Centre (RFRC) is a hub for social research on rural Atlantic Canada.
It provides the infrastructure, training and methodological expertise to gather, analyze and disseminate timely, comprehensive, quantitative and qualitative data about social life in the region's rural areas.
With 8 Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) stations, data analysis software and equipment, it has the capacity to conduct and analyze telephone and online surveys, and produce engaging, informative research outputs for lay and policy audiences.
It primarily supports the research activity of the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Rural Futures for Atlantic Canada, but also serves as a place for graduate students to build research skills by working on real research projects.
