Bio

A longtime feminist researcher and activist, Alana's research focuses on women's reproductive health and public policy, identifying links between the state, biotechnology, and the creation of a neoliberal citizen-subject. Her postdoctoral research examines the role of patient groups in policy making related to the public funding of in vitro fertilization in Canada.

Alana also works on a number of collaborative projects including work on the consumption of intimate labours, the regulation of embryo research,  and the effects of environmental exposures to household chemicals on intergenerational reproductive health.
