Emily Crosby

Research Assistant

Emily grew up in Bedford, NS and received her BA (Honors) in Sociology from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2017. She returned to Halifax in 2019 to complete her Bachelor’s of Social Work at Dalhousie University. Emily has had a diverse range of work experiences including being a Resident Assistant for people with mental health conditions and intellectual disabilities as well as working in Indigenous communities in child protection in Labrador. These experiences have provided her with expertise in working with vulnerable populations. She started her research career with the Geriatric Medicine Research team in 2020 and has been involved in research on Covid-19 in the geriatric population. She hopes to continue her pursuit of excellence in research and working with vulnerable populations.
