Additional Information
Kaspars Ozoliņš has served as an Ambassador to Canada since February 24, 2022. Prior to this assignment, he was Director General for International Security and International Organisations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before that, he spent one year as Deputy Director at the State Chancellery with responsibility for coordinating election integrity. Kaspars Ozoliņš has also served as Latvia’s Ambassador to Denmark (2013-2018), to Czech Republic and Croatia (2010-2013). His other diplomatic postings include Latvia’s Embassies in the USA and Sweden. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held different positions with responsibilities over Russia, CIS countries and security policy.
