News and events for Dal staff and faculty

For February 03, 2025

February is African Heritage Month. Building on the national and local themes, this year Dalhousie decided to emphasize “Celebrating the Legacy and Future of Black Creativity,” reflecting on the power of Black resistance and creativity that have long been catalysts for socio-economic change, innovation, education, and research.

Visit Dalhousie's African Heritage Month page for a detailed schedule of events.

Events on campus:

The Dal Bookstore is also celebrating by highlighting local Black-owned brands and inspiring literature.
