Friday office closures

Some offices across campus, including Human Resources in the Henry Hicks Building and the College of Sustainability, will be closed on Friday, April 26 for staff to participate in the Lifting Nova Scotia workshops.

Oulton‑Stanish Centre construction update

Dalhousie has reached a milestone in the construction of the Oulton-Stanish Centre on South Street. Rockbreaking is mostly complete, and the building will soon be taking shape with the erection of structural steel.

AtlanticOER development grants

The Council of Atlantic Academic Libraries has announced that the AtlanticOER Development Grants 2024 cycle is now open. Submit an application for funding to create a new open textbook, adapt an already existing open textbook, or create new ancillary materials before May 22.

The research team behind the international analysis, including Dal's Dr. Tony Walker, found a clear link between the world's top producers of branded plastic and plastic waste and determined that companies producing single-use consumer goods disproportionately contributed to the problem.
