A ceremonial welcome
Fall convocation began Tuesday morning with a joint installation ceremony for Dal President Kim Brooks and Chancellor Rustum Southwell — taking part in a long-held tradition and a formal welcome to their leadership roles. Read more on Dal News.
Faculty and staff are invited to join President Kim Brooks this Friday (October 6) to hear her installation speech, followed by coffee, refreshments and conversation. More details.
Participants will explore the benefits and challenges of ungrading, review students’ perspectives of the process, and provide suggested approaches for instructors considering implementing ungrading in their own classrooms as they work on creating an accessible and equitable grading system for their students.
Sara Wong’s plans to graduate in the spring with a Bachelor of Science were delayed due to a concussion suffered during her fourth year. She’s now looking to the future as she graduates this fall as a member of the Class of 2023.
With baseball's playoffs getting underway, English prof Bart Vautour will be watching not only as a fan, but as the instructor behind Dal's new course offering on baseball and literature.
