Imhotep's Legacy Academy (ILA) is planning two events as part of Canada's National Science Literacy week: a hands-on climate activity and the fourth annual STEM quiz tournament.
African Nova Scotian students within Grades 6-12 are encouraged to register for both events. The quiz event consists of teams of five. Individual players without teams will be assigned one. Teams are compromised of either five junior high school students or two high school students and three junior high school students.
Participants will have access to the quiz study guide to familiarize themselves with the topics in preparation for the competition. The highest scoring team and the highest scoring individual will win Apple iPads and bragging rights. Medals will be distributed to the top three teams and all participants will receive certificates, t-shirts and ILA swag.
