The Microteaching Short Course, which is offered through the Centre for Learning and Teaching, is designed to offer students the opportunity to experience planning, developing and delivering a lesson in a mock classroom with students. Goals of Micro-teaching Short Course -To develop an understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies; -To gain practical teaching preparation and teaching experience; -To increase the confidence of your teaching skills; -To receive and apply critical feedback to your teaching development; and -To strengthen your ability to assess and evaluate teaching. This Short Course is open to students in the Certificate in University Teaching and Learning. Registration closes October 1st at 5 pm. Once you register, you will be able to access the “Micro-teaching” Short Course BrightSpace page. There you will complete the Online Tutorial as well as sign-up for your Micro-teaching Sessions. You must complete the tutorial and sign-up for your sessions by October 10th at 5 pm. If you do not complete the tutorial by this date, your spot will be given to a student on the waitlist.
