Employment Opportunity: Part-time Academic Posting in the History of Science and Technology Program

The University of King's College's History of Science and Technology Program invites applications for a part-time instructor who would be responsible for teaching the following course:

HSTC3501.03: The Nature of Time I. 

This course considers views of time across cultures and societies, from the ancient world to the beginning of the early modern period. The readings and the topics of the class will be up to the instructor's discretion but will complement HSTC 3502.03: The Nature of Time II (which covers notions of time from the Renaissance to the contemporary period). 

Due to Covid-19, this class will be taught online, mostly asynchronous.  The instructor will be responsible for establishing reading, introducing texts, evaluating assignments, attending staff meetings, and holding online office hours. This position reports to the Director of the Program.

Qualifications and Experience: 

Applicants should possess, as a minimum requirement, a master's degree in any of these fields: history of science, classics, philosophy, early modern studies, religion, or cognate fields. Prior experience teaching at the university level is required. 

Pay Rate: Remuneration is based upon qualifications and experience.
