As part of a SSHRC grant, a group of multi-disciplinary researchers from the School of Social Work, Health and Human Performance, Dental Hygiene, and Health Sciences are inviting undergraduate students to participate in a study on evidence-based interventions to promote positive mental health in survivors of adverse childhood experiences. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) are defined as deleterious experiences in first 18 years of life. A significant body of evidence has demonstrated that such experiences can negatively affect one's mental health across their lifespan. This study seeks to define evidence-based approaches that may act to promote positive mental health in undergraduate students who have experienced significant Adverse Childhood Experiences.
