POSITION:    Collaborative Pianist/Accompanist
TERM:    September 1, 2019 – April 30, 2020 
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:    Fountain School of Performing Arts   
PAY RATE:    $45/hour (approx. 25 hours per week for 26 weeks)
                        
WORK ASSIGNMENT:      The successful candidate’s duties may include, but are not limited to:
-    individual weekly coaching of singers
-    weekly studio accompanying/weekly performance class
-    juries in December and April
-    opera repetiteur (Fall), piano accompaniment and staging/performances in January/early February;
-    choral accompanist;
-    other ad hoc performances.
This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:    Master’s degree in collaborative piano or piano performance and two years of experience as a collaborative pianist in paid professional or postsecondary academic settings. Collegial, energized, self-starter with excellent pianistic skills, ability to sight-read or quick-study at a high level, significant experience collaborating and coaching singers, language skills for coaching singers would be an asset.
