JOB SUMMARY:  The Part-Time Academic's duties involve full responsibility for the class including but not limited to: class lectures, office hours, development of course outlines, preparation and grading of assignments, tests and exams. 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. or ABD (Philosophy) and teaching or research experience are required to be considered for the job. The teaching or research experiences will be assessed with respect to their quality and to how closely they relate to the subject matter of the course.  Evidence of teaching effectiveness is required. Research experience shall include at least one of the following: graduate classes taken in the subject matter of the course, graduate theses written in the subject matter of the course, publications or presentations on topics falling within the subject matter of the course.
