PAY RATE:                                      

As per CUPE Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for the graduate level Clinical Psychology class, Advanced Clinical Intervention: Adult (PSYO 6302.03), in the Fall term. Duties will include course preparation, lectures, seminars, student assessment, and student feedback.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The candidate must be a registered psychologist who possesses a PhD in Clinical Psychology, and has experience in graduate level instruction. Specifically, the candidate must have demonstrated competence in empirically-validated clinical interventions for adults. 

Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in graduate-level teaching or post-graduate training in this specific area. This position reports to the Chair of the Department through the Director of Clinical Training.

Duties will include course preparation, lectures, seminars, grading, and student feedback.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Clinical Psychology and experience in graduate level instruction. Specifically, the candidate will have demonstrated competence in the theory and practice of emotion focused psychotherapies.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in graduate-level teaching or post-graduate training in this specific area. This position reports to the Chair of the Department through the Director of Clinical Training.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for a third-year class, Psycholinguistics (PSYO/NESC 3190.03) in the Fall term. The class will be offered on WF 1135-1255 with a maximum class size of 50 students.  The successful applicant will be responsible for all lectures, test preparation, exam administration (including supplemental examinations), and must be available for two hours per week for student consultation. A 90-hr Marker is provided for this class. This position reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Applicants must have a graduate degree in Psychology, demonstrated teaching effectiveness, and have previous experience teaching the class material.

Specifically, the candidate will have demonstrated competence in the interrelated concepts of culture and identity, especially as they intersect in a multicultural setting.
