PART-TIME ACADEMIC POSTING

PAY RATE:                                   as per CUPE contract
 
WORK ASSIGNMENT:  Part-time academic required to teach CLAS 4452:  Medieval Interpreters of Aristotle (September – December, 2019 [Wednesdays 1905-2155]).  This course has three foci:  Eriugena, Deleuze, and Foucault.  One half of the term will involve a study of Eriugena’s Periphyseon before turning in the second half to consider texts by Deleuze and Foucault.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for the grading in the course.  This position is supervised by the Chair, Department of Classics.
 
REQUIREMENTS:  Ph.D.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching philosophy at the university level.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  Part-time academic required to teach CLAS 4451:  Medieval Interpreters of Aristotle, (January – April 2020, [Wednesdays 1905-2155]).  The course begins with Aristotle and touches on Plotinus, Iamblichus, Proclus, Boethius, Eriugena and Anselm before turning to the humanism of Aquinas.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for the grading in the course.  This position is supervised by the Chair, Department of Classics.
