Position: Part Time Academic – Fall 2018

Department:  Engineering

Pay Rate:  In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement

Work Assignment:   This Part Time Academic will teach APSC 2000 Environmental Impacts and Resources Management in the Fall 2018 on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus in Truro.  The Fall offering is scheduled for Tuesday’s from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm and two additional Saturdays from September 4th until December 4th, 2018.  The Part Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements:  Education; teaching experience at university level with experience in Environmental Impacts and resource management. Technology Education in the school would be considered an asset. (e.g., MSc in Engineering/Applied Science). Demonstrated teaching effectiveness is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills.

in the Fall in the Truro location.  The Fall offering is scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and two additional Saturdays from September 5th to December 5th with two additional full Saturday’s.   The Part Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements:  Education; teaching experience at university level with experience in Technology Modules. (e.g., MSc in Engineering/Applied Science). Technology Education in the school would be considered an asset. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills.
