POSITION: CUPE Part-Time Academic - MUSC 2221.03 Music Theory III

TERM: September 1 – December 31, 2018 (Fall Term 2018)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  Fountain School of Performing Arts

PAY RATE:  As per CUPE Collective Agreement          

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of one section of MUSC 2221.03 Music Theory III, from September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The candidate will work closely with teaching staff in the music theory and composition area in order to coordinate curriculum requirements. The instructor is required to provide a Method of Assessment and course outline and to announce end of term student ratings/evaluations of instruction. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:  Minimum of a Bachelor of Music, preferably an MA, PhD or ABD status in music theory; teaching experience at the university level; computer literacy.
