In the workplace the Dalhousie Leadership Competency of Relationship Building includes:
· Taking the initiative to connect with others
· Identifying opportunities to assist and serve others
· Building rapport by listening to others’ needs and interests, understanding differences, and finding common ground
· Building, maintaining and leveraging key relationships
This 29 minute video explores ways to build the relationship, understand and adapt to your manager’s style and ideas for how to give them feedback.
