Student Ratings of Instruction (SRI)

Posted by Centre for Learning and Teaching on November 22, 2017 in General Announcements

Student Ratings of Instruction (SRI) are now available to students on Brightspace. Students will receive an e-mail encouraging them to participate (and reminders) Students have until 11:59PM December 6th to complete their SRIs for most courses.

The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) encourages all professors and instructors to engage students in the SRI process. Please allow 15 minutes of class time in the next two weeks for students to complete their SRI. Make sure to inform students ahead of time so that they can bring an electronic device to complete their SRI. The CLT site has specific instructions for those new to the SRI process (https://www.dal.ca/dept/clt/SRI/sri_instructor/directions_instructor.html). CLT also has a resource for students on how to give constructive feedback, which you can also share with your students (https://cdn.dal.ca/content/dam/dalhousie/pdf/dept/clt/SRI/Guidelines_to_students_on_providing_constructive_feedback.pdf).

As has been done in previous semesters to encourage students to complete SRIs, there will be a prize draw; four students who complete their SRI will receive a $250 book store gift certificate. CLT will be promoting SRI participation across Studley, Carleton, and Sexton campuses over the next two weeks.
