POSITION:       Marker – Winter 2018 - January to April 2018
MGTA 1004 – Introduction to Business

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Business and Social Sciences, Agricultural Campus

PAY RATE:  $15.65/hr as per CUPE Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT:  The marker will assist the instructor in marking assignments and multiple choice tests under MGTA 1004.  Detailed marking schemes will be provided. The marker will meet with the instructor on a regular basis to review marking progression and consistency; review any problems that arise.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:   

Minimum 3rd or 4th year students in the Agr. Business, Agr. Economics or Int'l Food Business programs and who has successfully completed MGTA 1004 (Introduction to Business) or equivalent/similar course with a grade of A- or better. Previous experience as a marker would be an asset.

POSITION:       TA – Winter 2018 – January to April 2018
MGTA 2000 – Human Resource Management

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Business and Social Sciences, Agricultural Campus

PAY RATE:  65 hours as per CUPE Collective Agreement - $1,495.00 gross.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1) Preparation: Assist in setting up in class exercises and experiential learning activities.

2) In-class: Assist in supervision/delivery of in class experiential learning exercises.

3) Office Duties: Plan, practice and discuss materials for marking and experiential exercises.

3) Marking, Grading, and proctoring: Assisting with marking assignments, tests, and exams throughout the semester. 

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:   Preference will be given to graduate students in the Department. However, other applicants with a relevant graduate degree (i.e., with a background in Ag. Business, Agr. Economics or Int'l Food Business programs and has successfully completed MGTA 2000 HR Management or equivalent/similar course(s)) are encouraged to apply.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Business and Social Sciences, Agricultural Campus

PAY RATE:  65 hours as per CUPE Collective Agreement - $1,495.00 gross.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1) In-class: Student will be responsible for marking and monitoring in class group assignments.

2) Marking, Grading, and proctoring: Grade assignments/tests approximately every second week. 

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:   Preference will be given to graduate students in the Department. However, other applicants with a relevant graduate degree (i.e., with a background in Ag. Business, Agr. Economics or Int'l Food Business programs, and has successfully completed ECOA 1000 or equivalent/similar course(s)) are encouraged to apply.
