Limited term Academic position, teaching two Veterinary Technology courses for remainder of Fall Term. Teaching requirements include 9 hours of laboratory and 3 hours of lecture time per week for each course.  We are seeking a full-time, limited-term instructor to cover these courses, and would consider hiring two part-time instructors.
 
Department Location: Haley Institute, Dalhousie Agricultural Campus

Pay Rate:  In accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement.

Work Assignment:
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering course material to students in the Veterinary Technology Program both in a laboratory and classroom environment. Class size would be in the range of 40-45 students. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including labs, lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  Position available immediately for undetermined amount of time. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Requirements of Position:
 Registered Veterinarian Technician.  Experience in small animal private practice required. Teaching in post-secondary education is desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
