Position: Part-time Academics -Winter 2017

Department:  Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences

Pay Rate:  In accordance with the CUPE collective agreement

Work Assignment:   This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures for AGRN 2008 Potato Production for the period of January- April 2018.  The class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (11:35-12.55) – Labs on Thursdays (3:35-5:25pm).  The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, running labs, field tours, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Agronomy, Horticulture or Plant Science or related areas  OR Masters with two year experience in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or related disciplines.
