Position: Part-time Academic  – Winter 2018

Department:  Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences

Pay Rate:  In accordance with CUPE collective agreement.

Work Assignment:   This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures and Labs for CHMA3001 Biochemistry for the period of Jan-April 2018.  The Lectures are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Lab is currently scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.  The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching Lectures and administering labs, including lab preparation, pre-labs, test preparation and evaluation.  This position works collaboratively with the Professor, who teaches this course. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution, Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline  OR Masters with two year experience in Biochemistryor a related discipline.

PhD in Viticulture, Horticulture, Crop Science with knowledge and experience in viticulture OR Masters in Plant Science, Horticulture, Crop Science with a knowledge in viticulture with two year experience.
