"Move More" in February

Posted by Human Resources on January 31, 2013 in Human Resources

You know there are benefits to physical activity. Even if you don’t consider yourself physically active, just moving more can prevent injury, add years to your life, improve your relationships, and …. it feels good! The weather may not be what you’d like it to be, but there are hundreds of ways to just move more.

Here are some of the events taking place on Halifax campuses in February:

Tupper Trek – February 8th, 12:00-1:00 pm: The Tupper Building gives us our own 15-floor mountain to climb. Whether you make it up 5 floors or all 15, join your Dal colleagues in taking the stairs to improved health. Challenge yourself or challenge your co-workers to try the Tupper Trek.

Zumba Party – February 15th: Heard about the Zumba craze and want to try it out? A free class will be held both in the Studley Gym (12:05-12:55 pm) and the Sexton Gym (1:05-1:55 pm) to get your body moving and your heart pumping. No experience, or coordination, required. Bring dry sneakers to change into and some water to keep you hydrated.

No registration required.
