The Fountain School is ONLINE this fall!  In this first show of the season, the cast, designers, and creative team are breaking the mold as they venture into exciting new digital territory.  Together, they endeavour to conceive of an original virtual form to stage a show online.  In creating a hybrid of analog and digital storytelling, the process of innovation has called on new collaborative skills from all involved.  "This is a play we made for you" is a line from Concord Floral and a true expression of the core of this production.

Concord Floral is an abandoned greenhouse and a hangout for neighbourhood kids. But something has happened there. Something that nobody can talk about. And when two friends stumble upon the terrible secret buried there, they set off a chain of events that can't be stopped. Concord Floral re-imagines Giovanni Boccaccio's medieval allegory The Decameron in a contemporary Halifax suburb, in which teenagers must flee a mysterious plague they have brought upon themselves.  "The intense suspense of the story of Concord Floral aligns beautifully with a virtual production as the characters - from the privacy of their bedrooms - tell the story of 10 teenagers who grapple with the plague of their guilty conscience, reveal their secrets, and together come to the truth of a past violent event." -Ann-Marie Kerr.
