Are healthcare and incarceration compatible? Women's experiences seeking care inside prisons
The Women’s Health Interest Group, in collaboration with the CIHR Institute of Gender and Health Trainee Network, are hosting a lunch-and-learn event featuring Martha Paynter and Sarah Tessier, who will be speaking about women’s experiences seeking care inside of prisons. Martha Paynter is a registered nurse and the founder of Women’s Wellness Within. Her doctoral research examines the maternal health outcomes of federally incarcerated women. Sara Tessier is an advocate for people experiencing incarceration. She will share her experience about the federal prison system. The event will be held on February 25th from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the CHEB, room 226. This room and building are accessible. Lunch will be provided!
