The Road Ahead: A Political Conversation about the Future of Atlantic Canada

In advance of the 2019 federal election, the MacEachen Institute is hosting a political conversation about the future of Atlantic Canada on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 7 pm.  The panel will feature a discussion and commentary by former politicians:

  • Darrell Dexter - Premier of Nova Scotia (2009 - 2013) and MLA for Cole Harbour (2003 - 2013)
  • Janice Harvey - Founding president of the New Brunswick Green Party (2008-2012) and President of the Fredericton South Green Party Association (2012 - present)
  • Peter MacKay - Member of Parliament for Pictou-Antigonish-Guysborough/Central Nova (1997 - 2015) and former Attorney General (2013 - 2015), Minister of National Defence (2007 - 2013), Minister of Foreign Affairs (2006 - 2007) and Minister of ACOA  (2006 - 2010)
  • Anne McLellan – Member of Parliament for Edmonton West/Centre (1993 - 2006), former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada (2003 - 2006), Minister of Justice (1997 - 2002), and Minister of Health (2002 - 2003)
