English Language Workshop: Mechanics of Writing: Using Tentative Language
Using tentative language or hedging, is one of the most important aspects of high-level academic writing, yet one that many academic writers are not aware they should be using. This workshop will include an explanation of hedging and review the different structures used in academic writing to express ideas with the appropriate level of nuance.
