Considering Floatation for Pain Support

Part of Dal's Working with Pain Initiative

The floatation experience involves a lightproof, soundproof tank of salt water in which a person floats as a form of deep relaxation

While floating has been around since the 1950s, most folks are unaware of the benefits associated with the practice but are well-versed in what they recall from the 1980s film, Altered States. Floatation therapy is a transparent industry with 60+ years of research backing many of its benefits, yet still a very small percentage of the population is aware that this type of therapy exists and how it has proven pain reduction benefits, all without the use of pharmaceuticals.
