'Not so Silent' Vigil
December 6th, 2018 marks 29 years since the 1989 murder of 14 young women who were studying engineering at L'Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal.
This year, the Women's Community Space will be co-sponsoring our annual commemorative event with the Halifax Public Library.
Join us at this gender inclusive event, which will begin with a candlelight vigil at 5:15 PM outside the front entrance of the Halifax Central Library.
Following the vigil, we will go indoors to the warmth of the Halifax Central Library's Paul O'Regan Hall for refreshments, music, action, and a screening of the film, Polytechnique.
Unite. Speak Out. Take Action. Bring an End to Gender-Based Violence.
