Reflections Of An International Alum: Voyages In Maritime Affair
Inter-disciplinarily and integrated approaches to problem-solving are among the core features of Dalhousie's long-running educational programs, the Marine Affairs Program (MAP) in the Faculty of Science and the Marine & Environmental Law Program (MELP), in the Schulich School of Law. In this lecture, the author narrates how at various points in his career, he has been able to leverage the unique knowledge and skills gained from the MAP and MELP programs to address varied and complicated problems in marine affairs in the Philippines.
Jay L Batongbacal is a lawyer from the Philippines with the degrees of Master of Marine Management and Doctor in the Science of Law from Dalhousie University, with support from the Canadian International Development Agency, the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation, Dalhousie University and the Killam Trust.
