An introduction to Alexander Technique with Malcolm Balk
The Fountain School is very happy to welcome Malcolm Balk, certified Alexander technician, for a return visit to Dalhousie University. For over two decades, through his teaching of Alexander Technique, Malcolm has been helping musicians and runners around the world feel better, and move in a more relaxed and comfortable way... the way nature intended.
Malcolm trained in London, England, with Patrick Macdonald and has a particular gift for working with singers. He has presented workshops for musicians at McGill University (Opera workshop), U de M, UQAM, Concordia, SUNY Plattsburgh, Queen's University, and for many years at the St. Andrews summer opera workshop. An avid amateur cellist and runner, Mr. Balk maintains a private practice in Montreal, teaches at Plattsburgh State University and is the author of The Art of Running.
