CSV2018: The 2nd Symposium Of The Canadian Society For Virology
The 2nd Symposium of the newly-founded Canadian Society for Virology (CSV2018) will be held on Dalhousie's Carleton campus on June 13-15th, 2018. CSV2018 will unite basic, clinical, epidemiological and industrial virus researchers from across Canada, to discuss their research and foster exchanges and collaborative activities. We expect at least 150 attendees, and there will be a strong emphasis on enhanced training opportunities for students and fellows, including breakout sessions on STEM communication, career development, scientific publishing and ethics.
The symposium will feature the first CSV business meeting, which will inform future society activities. The meeting will also feature an excursion and banquet at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site.
CSV2018 attendees will be invited to a Soapbox Science Event on June 16, to be held at the Halifax Seaport Farmer's Market, which will feature 12 female scientists, who will share their work with the general public.
