Dal Law Hour Ft. Nancy Rubin, QC
Dalhousie Law Hour provides a one hour lecture each week geared at engaging our student body and surrounding community with presentations from prominent legal, academic, and political minds of the day.This forum provides an excellent opportunity to connect the legal issues and ideas learned in law school with how the law actually works in everyday life. Law Hour has been an institution at Dalhousie since the 1960's and has had tremendous support from students, faculty and members of the community.
This Law Hour will feature a talk from Nancy Rubin, QC.
Nancy Rubin, QC, is a Dalhousie University alumna, and is now a Partner at Stewart McKelvey where she practices media and entertainment law. She has been the President of the Canadian Media Lawyers Association since 2015, and has been consistently recommended as a leading practitioner for defamation and media law. Nancy Rubin has acted as counsel before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, New Brunswick Queen's Bench, Federal Court, private arbitration tribunals, and the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (UARB).
