Harm Reduction: Saving lives through compassion, respect, and dignity

Cindy MacIsaac, Executive Director of Direction 180 Methadone Clinic in Halifax, will be speaking on the importance of harm reduction for people who use drugs in Atlantic Canada, and describing the public health role of community health workers and organizations, such as Direction 180 and the Mainline Needle Exchange (both programs of the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre). This session will be of interest to all those studying and researching harm reduction approaches in public health. Heathly Population Institute students have organized this event! Open to all.
