Critical Pedagogy: Thinking About What and How We Teach

Terrilyn Chiasson
Program manager – Professional & Research Education Program (PREP)
Faculty of Medicine

We will delve into ideas about what is knowledge and why certain knowledge(s) are accepted and reiterated, while others are marginalized. As educators, and members of society(ies), we are responsible for the knowledge(s) we empower with our students and others. This workshop will discuss the idea of critical pedagogy, and it’s place in our classrooms.
