On Wednesday evening in Quebec City, U SPORTS announced their women's soccer award winners. Two Tigers earned national recognition.

Second year midfielder Megan Chiasson was named a first team All-Canadian. Chiasson was a key member of the Tigers midfield, starting all 12 games in their undefeated regular season. She found the back of the net three times this season, two of which were game winning goals. Chiasson was named an AUS all-star last week and played the full 90 minutes of both play off games for the Tigers. After being named the AUS Rookie of the Year last season, the Bedford, N.S. native was invited to a Canada Soccer U20 national team camp this past summer. Off the field, Chiasson is in her third year of a science degree.

Joining Chiasson on the national stage is Elise Evans. The Toronto, ON native was named to the U SPORTS All-Rookie team. A striker, Evans started all 12 regular season games and both playoff games for the Tigers. She found the back of the net three times this season and was named a Dalhousie Athlete of the Week in September for her efforts. An arts and social sciences student, Evans was named an AUS second team all-star last week.
