(Halifax, N.S.) - Dalhousie University presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Catherine Callaghan, Volleyball

Second-year libero Catherine Callaghan is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Catherine led the Tigers to a 3-1 win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies to improve to 5-0 in the regular season.

She had 20 digs in Friday night’s match and passes a 2.2 to allow the Tigers to run a balanced offence and earned Subway Player of the Game honours as a result.

An electrical engineering student, Catherine is from Halifax, N.S.

Sascha Kappos, Basketball

Fifth-year forward Sascha Kappos is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Sascha led the Tigers to a 93-85 overtime win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on the road Saturday night.

He scored 20 points in his 40 minutes on the court. He also added five rebounds and three blocks in the effort.

A native of Miami, FL., Sascha is a marine biology student.
