Showcasing Dal's Ag Campus on Community Day

- July 25, 2019

Summer was in full swing last Thursday for Community Day on Dal’s Agricultural Campus, with sunshine and warm temperatures providing ideal conditions for exploring the Truro campus’s many wonders.

More than 1,200 people dropped by to take in the sights, sounds and activities on the campus, home to the Faculty of Agriculture. Tractor rides, meet-and-greets with the animals, facility tours, yummy BBQ fare, and free ice cream were a few of the many highlights.

Elsewhere, aspiring lumberjacks wielded axes for some target practice, while those looking to cool off visited the Bubble Barn for some wet, sudsy relief. Engaging educational booths provided fascintating facts about some of the many research projects underway on campus and information about valued community partners.

Whereever you went, whatever you did, bucolic beauty and Aggie spirit were easy to find.
