Putting Dal Pride on parade

- July 24, 2019

Members of the Dal community were loud and proud as they took to the streets for Pride parades in both Halifax and Truro this month.

In Halifax, students, faculty, staff and friends held court on a flatbed truck armed with colourful hats and pool noodles to bring the summer beach party vibe to life. Others gathered at the Dal viewing station in front of the Architecture building, with freezies, face-painting and button-making. Beating the heat, the Dal parade crew's enthusiasm was so strong that they took home the award for best non-profit float.

One week earlier in Truro, Rocky and company may not have had quite as sunny a day, but they made the most of it with a tractor-pulled float that was truly a highlight of the Truro Pride Parade.
