A bold, blue farewell to Tall Ships 2017

- August 3, 2017

Thousands made their way to the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts Tuesday for the grand finale of the Tall Ships' 2017 visit to Halifax: the Parade of Sail.

If you were there and noticed things were a bit more "blue" than usual, that was by design. Dalhousie and the Waterfront Development Corporation teamed up to encourage people to wear blue as a big "blue wave" farewell to the Tall Ships — a colourful display pride in what the ocean means to Canada's East Coast. Dal staff were on-hand with special #HFXBlueWave T-shirts, handing out freezies, while the Dal Tiger brought smiles to faces young and old on a hot summer afternoon.

Thanks to all who helped share the #HFXBlueWave campaign!
