Mobilizing Science Knowledge and Research in the 21st Century: An NCE Sharing of Best Practices
NCE researchers are asked to report their knowledge mobilization (KMB) activities every year, yet we recognize the lack of formal KMB training and education.
To meet this need, MEOPAR will host a Mobilizing Science Knowledge and Research (KMB) Symposium designed by staff from some of the 48 Canadian Networks of Centres of Excellence for all NCE Highly Qualified People (HQP), their principal investigators (PIs) and staff. Non-NCE interested participants, practitioners of science knowledge mobilization, transfer, exchange and brokerage are welcome to attend.
We believe this symposium may be the first training and education initiative for the NCEs as one group, since the NCE program was established in 1989. Five NCEs are funded specifically related to knowledge mobilization, and we are thrilled four of them are collaborating with MEOPAR in the symposium planning.
The symposium itself will demonstrate knowledge mobilization and our commitment to the important role of knowledge mobilization to the research MEOPAR conducts.
