Math Circles Event
Erick Lee (HRSB) will give this month's presentation: Math Party!
It's a Math Party! In this session we'll explore Ramsey's Party Problem along with several other games, puzzles and problems with a party theme. Do you know the best way to cut a cake? What's the most efficient way to wrap a present? We'll learn about number theory and problem solving as we tackle these puzzles.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attending the event:
- If bringing 5 or more students, it is expected that a parent/teacher/guardian remains with their students for supervision.
- If bringing 4 or fewer students, we prefer if a parent/teacher/guardian remains at the event; however, if this is not possible, please leave an emergency contact number in the RSVP to the event.
Pizza and pop will be served. To give us accurate numbers for food orders, we ask that you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by 10am on May 16. Space is limited. Please RSVP early to guarantee a spot on the list! An overview of all events for this year can be found on our website, http://www.nsmathcircles.com/EventsCurrent.html . Bring your friends, classmates, students, or anyone else who might be interested.
Note: The June monthly event date has changed! Our June event will take place on Friday, June 8, 2018.
