Math Circles Event
Presented by : Dr. Dorette Pronk
Topic : A Mathematical Art Show
In this talk I will present art pieces inspired by mathematical principles and objects. You will see how these pieces show the beauty of number theory, algebra and geometry. I will discuss some of the math that is presented in the art works, and you will get the opportunity to make some art of your own (and perhaps get some ideas to try out over the December holidays.)
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attending the event:
- If bringing 5 or more students, it is expected that a parent/teacher/guardian remains with their students for supervision.
- If bringing 4 or fewer students, we prefer if a parent/teacher/guardian remains at the event; however, if this is not possible, please leave an emergency contact number in the RSVP to the event.
Pizza and pop will be served. To give us accurate numbers for food orders, we ask that you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by 10am on December 13. Space is limited. Please RSVP early to guarantee a spot on the list! An overview of all events for this year can be found on our website, https://nsmathcircles.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2232cb852df68c33352b64fa3&id=380c0edbbe&e=73de8d3b3d .
