Congratulations to Md Ashraf and Ambrose Ogwang, winners of the U.L.G. Rao Memorial Prize in Economics for the academic year 2024-25! The U.L.G. Rao Prize is an annual award for the best MA or MDE thesis written in the past academic year. Md's thesis, supervised by Professor Dan Rosenblum, was titled “Media Reporting of Sexual Violence and Female Labor Force Participation Decision in Rural Bangladesh.” Ambrose's thesis, supervised by Professor Lars Osberg, was titled “The Immediate Effect of the Coronavirus Pandemic on Wellbeing in Uganda: A Comparison of Household Groups.”
